Photo Aging

Photo aging project was to take a new or modern photo and add layers and paint brushes to look like stains, rips, and tape.  I made The Jefferson an old theater look even older in this aged photo. Check out the before and after.

David Hockney

David Hockney is an artist and protographer with his own type of style he uses portions of pictures and reveals them in polaroids and arranges them on a page to for the picture again.  I chose to break up a picture of a dollar bill I took and this is how it turned out.

Portraits

To the portraits Ive taken we were asked to add a cross process look to one and a an ink sketch along with our own design.  Cross processing is when chemicals are mixed incorrectly during photo development and its comes out looking like a mix between sepia and black and white with some color tint over.

Collage

Cathy Horner
Kelsy Powell

Cathy Horner is a famous collage artist.  I’ve chosen to replicate from her art that I’ve looked threw because they drawled my attention and I love the vintage look.  Her collages mainly consist of people and animals, but she does have a few that incorporate fairies and robots.  A range from simple to complex her pictures vary in range.  I like the way she does the positioning and sizes of the cutouts, and that its hard on the background to look more like a collage.

Macro

Macro is a type of photography for taking close up images with lots of detain such as lines, texture, and patterns.  Its really easy most all cameras come with the setting, try is next time you want to get lots of detail on a close up of a flower, rock or bug.

Splash of Color

Splash of color is created by layer masking a picture and painting in or out what you wan to be revealed in color. Usually the main focal point of the picture to attract the most attention.
