Self Typography

This was a picture of myself that I completely transformed into type. All words and letters were used.  By usign the artistic cutout filter and paths to make the words go along with the original lines I created this picture out of words. And it even looks like me!

Scanography

For this project we scanned in items of choice some 2D and some 3D.  Its a whole new way of making a picture .. And I added some filters to make this photo look a little different.

Out of Proportions

The out of proportions project was an assignment to show show something out of its element or out of place. I put a really large lighting bug in a mason jar which we all know those bugs are really tiny.  And i put a fishing boat inside of a coffee cup.

Warm&Cool

The warm and cool hands project was where we took pictures from our hands at work shooting assginment and emhances the warm (reds/oranges) and cool (bules/greys) colors to show wamth and coolness.  I also masked one of the photos to reveal the warm colors of the ring and chocolate on the black and white photo.

Photo Aging

Photo aging project was to take a new or modern photo and add layers and paint brushes to look like stains, rips, and tape.  I made The Jefferson an old theater look even older in this aged photo. Check out the before and after.

David Hockney

David Hockney is an artist and protographer with his own type of style he uses portions of pictures and reveals them in polaroids and arranges them on a page to for the picture again.  I chose to break up a picture of a dollar bill I took and this is how it turned out.

Portraits

To the portraits Ive taken we were asked to add a cross process look to one and a an ink sketch along with our own design.  Cross processing is when chemicals are mixed incorrectly during photo development and its comes out looking like a mix between sepia and black and white with some color tint over.

Collage

Cathy Horner
Kelsy Powell

Cathy Horner is a famous collage artist.  I’ve chosen to replicate from her art that I’ve looked threw because they drawled my attention and I love the vintage look.  Her collages mainly consist of people and animals, but she does have a few that incorporate fairies and robots.  A range from simple to complex her pictures vary in range.  I like the way she does the positioning and sizes of the cutouts, and that its hard on the background to look more like a collage.

My replica

Original

Macro

Macro is a type of photography for taking close up images with lots of detain such as lines, texture, and patterns.  Its really easy most all cameras come with the setting, try is next time you want to get lots of detail on a close up of a flower, rock or bug.

Splash of Color

Splash of color is created by layer masking a picture and painting in or out what you wan to be revealed in color. Usually the main focal point of the picture to attract the most attention.

Visiual Puns

A visual pun is a picture made with what the litteral name is .. Such as apples on a pine tree, photos on a graph, and ties in a bowl for food.

Typography

Typography is a type of picture made with all type .. or Letters . I made an apple tree. using different fonts and sizes of many letters this is how it turned out. Almost hard to believe its ALL letters.

Mid Term

For the class mid term we had a series of things to put on one page . From a picteure I selected these two guys using the lasso and quick selection tools.  I also used a layer mask for the fire hydrant and I made a shadow with a guassian blur to make the picture look more realistic.

Rule of Thrids

Rule of thirds phototgraphy is like taking a tick-tac-toe grid and putting it over your photot, with the most interesting pieces in the center of where the lines cross eachother.

Kaleidoscope

This project was to take a picture and twist, flip, transform and arrange a photo to look like a kaleidoscope. This photo was of a bird that I took .. The first one was made through "painting" with all the different brushes and colors.

Change My Look

One of my favorite singers Katy Perry normally has dark brown hair and light blue eyes.  With many selections and "q" selections I changed her hair to purple and eyes to green.

I also changer my friend Jordans hair, eyes, added eye shaddow and a new background.

Along with my second partner Candace I changed her hair color from dark brown to purple, made her brown eyes purple-ish and added a lip ring and bow.

Layer Mask

Layer masking is a way to add and hid parts of a photo without completely erasing parts of the photo.  By painting with the black which reveals, or white that conseals your photo can be masked and revealed at anytime where as erasing is gone forever.

Montage

Magic Wand

With the magic wand I used a quick selection so copy each shape exactly. In the end I created my own creature

My second magic wand project used lasso tools, eliptical, polygonal, and free lasso to make different shapes.
